Welcome to my “favorite four”. Each month I will share one thing that I’m buying, eating, reading and listening to. The buying will cover anything and everything. Maybe it will be something for the house, the kitchen, the car, ourselves, a family member, a friend – just one thing that I enjoyed that month that I think you will too. The eating will most likely always be a link to a Pinterest recipe we made that month. The reading a book – an Ag resource or article that I read and lastly, the listening too – either a new song/album or a podcast that I enjoyed. Im excited to start sharing this with you !!!

Below is Decembers “favorite four”. The best way to consume Ag news. A new country song Tad and I have been jamming too, and some cozy slippers and sausage soup that is absolutely delicious and perfect for the cold winter nights.

What I’m buying: best cozy slippers

I bought THESE SLIPPERS the other day on a whim. I had been needing a pair so badly and I kept looking and looking and hadn’t found anything. Then these appeared mid scroll – 100% recommend them. I really can’t believe how low the price tag is for how high the quality is. I like my slippers non enclosed (toes open) so my feat don’t over heat ha, but for anyone who is looking for a warm and cozy enclosed pair I LOVE THESE SLIPPERS and if you’re more of a traditional slipper kind of person THIS STYLE is super cute and comes in a ton of colors – again at a really affordable price point. (See below for phots)

What I’m listening to: best country song

I’m not even sure where or how I head THIS SONG. Alex Key is a fairly new artist – I think. Anyways, I love the twang of this song “The fool that I am”, reminds me of older 80’s/90’s country which we all know is the best county music there is. Here’s the link to my Spotify channel for more music

What I’m eating: best fall sausage soup

We made THIS SAUSAGE AND POTATO SOUP the other night and it got two thumbs up from everyone. The sausage is a nice break from the typical proteins of hamburger, stew meat or chicken that is commonly used in a lot of soups. Plus it is simple enough that you likely have all the ingredients on hand already, which is a major win if you live rurally. I think you could easily sub kale and spinach and also add white beans or carrots if you wanted more “substance to it” but it’s really great as is. Bon appetite. Sourdough people – Make these croutons to go with it 🙂

What I’m reading: best ag news

Magnetic Ag is the best thing to happen to Ag news. At least for me anyways. Magnetic Ag pulls from 50+ news sources across crops, livestock, agtech, and agribusiness to give you the hot topics all in one place. It also breaks complicated stuff down into bite size pieces and usually delivers the headlines and topics with a bit of humor making it more enjoyable to read. It’s only twice a week so it doesn’t overwhelm your inbox and it really is just the best thing. SUBSCRIBE HERE
